We Give our Members a Voice Through Advocacy
We are the voice of the statewide workforce development community on the issues that are matter at the federal, state, and local policy levels. From Congressional testimony, legislative visits and State Agency engagement, NYATEP staff is working on your behalf in D.C., Albany, and the steps of City Hall.
We Increase our Member's Knowledge
To keep pace with an ever evolving workforce environment, NYATEP works to improve the knowledge-base and efficacy of the workforce system. Through Level Up NY, NYATEP's training initiative, Members and their partners can access high quality professional development so you can engage in evidence-based practice. NYATEP Members also receive special member discounts on conferences, webinars, Special Issue Calls, regional meetings, and much more. NYATEP can even help you design a training to specifically meet your organization’s needs.

NYATEP aims to promote progress to continuously improve the state systems and local practice so it is ahead of the curve in providing workforce services. From piloting initiatives to cutting-edge research, we strive to continue to provide the information and first hand intelligence our Members and their partners.
What is NYATEP?
The New York Association of Training & Employment Professionals (NYATEP) is a 501(c)(3) membership organization serving the workforce development community throughout New York State. We provide the leadership, vision and advocacy for a thriving workforce in New York State. Our focus is ensuring that every New Yorker and employer in New York State has access to the skills they need to work in, and support a robust statewide economy.

Who are NYATEP’s Members?
NYATEP's membership serves over a million New Yorkers each year through education, post-secondary, job training and employment services. Membership is for any organization, business, agency or institution that includes workforce development in its mission. Our current members include local Workforce Boards, youth development programs, literacy programs, colleges and universities, not-for-profit organizations, economic development agencies, and career centers.
